Nose to the Grindstone
Well, I've made it through the weekend!
Saturday morning was my first work out back from being sick. It was pretty rough. Tim worked us hard in just the warm up with some GI Janes, and some wall ball squats, among others. I was having trouble with my cardio ability and the stuff that was trying to come out of my lungs - thank you Mr. Cold. I was coughing up a storm but needed to get a work out so Tim had me do 21, 15, 9 of the following WOD. I was still worked and my "posterior chain" really hurts today!
The WOD was:
21 - pull ups, situps, 100 yards of lunges
18 - pull ups, situps, 100 yards of lunges
15 - pull ups, situps, 100 yards of lunges
11 - pull ups, situps, 100 yards of lunges
9 - pull ups, situps, 100 yards of lunges
6 - pull ups, situps, 100 yards of lunges
Once we were done with that, Tom and I jetted to Foxy's where I had a great breakfast of scrambled egg whites with tomatos, mushrooms, and chicken topped with some salsa and guacamole. I washed it down with some grapefruit juice - yum!
That afternoon I had a softball game for Sony. As I was sitting in the duggout, I saw that there was some relay going on. Then I saw Kris our trainer running and we realized it was Crossfit Culver City doing their thing for their 1 year anniversary. They were doing all kinds of crazy stuff - they even had a huge rope for tug of war! We went over after they were finished to talk to Kris and to Scott, a guy I work with who has been doing Crossfit and Krav Maga for a year at CC. It was great to see everyone out their having such a great time with friends and zone friendly food! I hope when NoHo has their one year anniversary we will do something fun like that too!
Off to the gym again tonight for another ridiculous WOD! :)
