We started the warmup by running 400 meters with a bumper plate - I used 25#. After that we had to sprint 400 Meters. Then we had to do 2 more 100 Meter sprints. Now don't get me wrong, I do hate running; but sprinting is on the top of the list of things I actually like about running. For some reason I feel like I can actually sprint fairly decently. There is definitely something enticing about 'the race'; not to mention the fact its over in under 20 seconds!
The WOD was the following:
50 x Wall Balls
40 x Sit Ups
30 x Vertical Leaps
20 x Pull Ups
10 x Burpees
REST EXACTLY 3 MINUTES
...Do it all again trying to beat the previous time.
My first time was 10:10, second time was 11:04. Not terrible but not great. To be completely honest, I'm getting frustrated with coming in last in the runs, and with my times. This may not always be true, but it sure feels like it! I feel strong about my lifting, and certain movements, but overall I am feeling like I need to see more improvement.
Sometimes it is hard for me to remember that I have only been at this for 3 months - and in that time GREAT IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE! I need to keep my head up and move forward. Once I start paleo/zoning hardcore (after my vacation and after the Nutrition Cert) I hope that I will have better progress in BMI/Weight/Performance. Keep your fingers crossed!
