150 Burpees = New Confidence











Thursday we walked into the gym and most of our mouths were on the floor. We looked at the white board and saw the following:

WARMUP:
"ANNIE"
50-40-30-20-10

Double Unders (or 3x singles)
Situps

(I didnt finish, I got finished with round 20 and I stopped because everyone else was done and I was already warmed up)

SKILL PRACTICE:
OHS (Over Head Squat) - with barbell
Max reps

I did 15... My form is terrible. It's so hard to keep your core still while trying to squat low enough, keeping your heels on the floor and keeping the bar behind your head. It feels sort of like you're doing a hula - hoop (minus the hoop...)

THE WOD:
150 BURPEES with LATERAL JUMP = WHA?!

We saw this and most of us didnt think we would even be able to do 75(1/2 of the total)!
Somehow with a little courage and a lot of sweat I was able to push all the way through 150 burpees in just a little over 20 Minutes! I couldn't believe it!! I'm so proud that my endurance has improved ! AND my will to keep going is much better than it once was. I have a new found confidence for even the scariest of WODS (which they all are by the way).
